Watch service

For a service check of a Rolex watch, we advise you to have your watch analyzed. The costs of a service check are calculated according to Rolex Switzerland guidelines and the watch is delivered with a two-year maintenance guarantee. The costs and delivery time depend on the required maintenance and the condition of your Rolex. You can offer your Rolex for repair without an appointment at one of our branches after which one of the certified Rolex watchmakers will analyse the condition of your Rolex. You will receive a no-obligation quote for the costs of the required work with the associated delivery time. A full service includes a watch overhaul, case and strap polishing, water tightness testing and intensive final inspection. Repairs to the case and strap and the replacement of parts are charged separately. The correct size of a Rolex watch strap can be adjusted free of charge, with the exception of additional parts. Prices of (watch) parts are based on trade-in, therefore these parts will not be returned.

During a repair service, your Rolex watch will be completely dismantled. All parts will be cleaned with ultrasound and checked. If any of them no longer meets the functional and aesthetic standards of Rolex, they will be replaced by original Rolex parts. The movement is carefully lubricated and tested, the case and metal strap are polished. The watchmakers will do the stringent tests and checks to ensure the waterproofness, power reserve and accuracy. After a repair, your Rolex will have 2-year maintenance warranty. Clients can give their Rolex watch for a repair seven days a week at one of our GASSAN branches, no appointment is required. After handing in your watch, you will receive a no-obligation quote within two weeks. If you are happy with the price, our team will send you an email with the repair time.

At GASSAN Diamonds there is no charge for shortening a watch strap. Also no appointment is needed. Usually this service does not take much time therefore our clients can wait until the links are removed, however the duration of the repair fully depends on the amount of work our watchmakers have on that day.

GASSAN Diamonds do provide the engraving service, however this might require further discussion with our goldsmiths, depending on the type of engraving. .

The cost of engraving a watch at GASSAN is € 22.00 per one line and € 28.00 per two lines. For a hand engraving the costs for a capital letter are € 7.00 per letter and for a small letter € 3.50 per letter. If an external engraver has to be used, GASSAN will communicated a quotation in advance. Customers can contact GASSAN seven days a week to discuss engraving in a watch. The delivery time of an engraving will be communicated in advance by GASSAN. The delivery time depends on the workload at the workshop.

If you wish to order a watch strap we would require the following information: the brand of the watch, the reference, series and case number as well as a clear description of the desired strap such as the type of material, the length of the strap, the desired color and the type of closure. Please note that we will require a deposit of € 10.00 for the low segment, € 50.00 for the middle segment and € 150.00 for the high segment.

The serial and case number of the Rolex watches can be registered internally at GASSAN under the name of the client. GASSAN does not report to the police and/or other jewelers. A police report must be submitted with the client's name and address, serial and case number of the watch, a copy of an original guarantee card and a copy of a proof of purchase. Please note that only Rolex watches can be registered and this does not apply to watches and jewelry of any other brand.

GASSAN makes no promises to third parties and/or checks whether watch has been purchased from GASSAN. We can check the watch for authenticity. In this service a watch will be taken apart. The cost for this is €50. It is not possible to make a statement about the authenticity of a watch on the basis of a photo. When you buy a watch, you will receive a warranty certificate with the end date and the user's manual. In case of defects caused by an external factor such as a blow or impact or incorrect use, the warranty will be voided.

The cost of valuing watches is calculated by percentile GASSAN. The standard price for a valuation report is € 40.00 per report, regardless of the value of the watch. On top of that is the appraisal of the goods: o 1.50% of the total appraisal value up to € 10,000. o 1.00% of the total appraisal value from € 10,000. o With an average price of a minimum of € 50,- and a maximum of €500,- per item. Clients can give their watch for valuation at GASSAN seven days a week and there is no need to make an appointment. It is not possible to make a valuation based on a photo, you will have to visit one of our GASSAN branches
